Reports from game shops around Japan as compiled by Famitsu.com, and Famitsu’s sales figures, indicate that the long-awaited latest entry in the Gran Turismo series and the expansion pack for Dragon Quest X are the current sales leaders heading into the year-end shopping season.
Famitsu sales figures indicate that, at 187,640 copies sold, Gran Turismo is just behind the combined 180,747 Dragon Quest X Version 2 units sold between the Wii and WiiU versions. This is in line with reports that Nintendo continues having difficulty aiding buyers in distinguishing between the two consoles, and in encouraging them to make the hardware upgrade.
Pokémon X&Y continues to sell well, ranking third on the list, followed by the latest entry in Level 5′s Inazuma Eleven series.
